THAT GOLDEN LIGHT

We're in the midst of summer, and I myself am in the middle of my vacation. Four glorious weeks free from work. Living in Sweden's damn awesome sometimes, 25 days payed vacation a year is a pretty sweet deal.
Summer here is so brief though; the season is short enough as it is, but the weather is as impredictable as a drunken unicorn! It'll be bright and sunny one day, just to be cloudy and almost galeforce winds the next.
I'm an incredibly restless person though, and summer has already started to loose its shine to me, and I'm really looking forward to autumn. Summer is a lazy season, I'm always more active during the rest of the year.
I had a brief disscussion with a customer in the store before I went on vacation. The pre-fall collection had started to arrive, and all the staff were excited about it. The customer remarked that she felt it was too soon, she couldn't quite enjoy her summer because she felt stressed by the stores always "rushing" the seasonal change. I suppose, from her point of view it might feel that way, but for those who work in fashion retail, its a wonderful change of scenery, after having stared atthe same damn collections for months.
Right now, even though I'm really enjoying the sun and the warmth, I am also looking forward to the best part of autumn; the fashion! Here are some goodies from my Pinterest Board "Chilly Fashion":

EDWARD ROBERT HUGHES

I've had a stint in inspiraration, but some well deserved vacation in charging up my batteries.

I have to share one of my favorite artists with you, English painter Edward Robert Hughes (1851–1914). He is the hand behind some marvellous paintings, dreamy, soft, glowing with an almost eerie light.

FLUFFY

I just love this picture from Mille-Notti so  much! Crisp white and fresh mild blues, fluffy beddings, happy dog; don't get much better than that, does it?

DRAUMSIDENE

The second great inspiration for homestyle right now, is from Elins Norwegian blog Draumsidene. She has mastered that stark, bright style full of contrasting blacks and whites, rough wood and shiny metal, graphic patterns of both organic and constructed shapes; the "typical" scandinavian style that's been trending in the nordic countrys for a while now.

LEILAS HOUSE

Behold the amazing home of Swedish chef Leila Lindholm, and it's currently a big inspiration for how my own homes decor is evolving. It's quickly becoming a mix of this and another beautiful home I'll show soon. The photos are from Swedish lifestyle magazine Family Living.

WAT

Saw this particularly digusting quote on instagram a while back:

Treat her like a princess

Fuck her like a pornstar

Here's a radical idea; treat her like a FUCKING HUMAN BEEING and maybe you can have AWESOME sex together. Also, girls who use this quote, YOU'RE MORONS. Have great, equal, amazing sex, not pornstar sex - that is for PORN, not real life. Idjits.

BABY BABY

We're having the most amazing spring weather today, the sun is beaming, the birds are having a sing-off right outside the (oh my GOD, they're so dirty!) windows, it definetly feels like spring is on it's way!
I'm heading of to my Dad's babyshower (yeah I know, I'm 29 and I'm getting a babybrother real soon!). Babyshowers aren't really a thing in Sweden, so I have no idea what to expect. The mother is my dad's filipino wife, a really sweet lady, so I'm sure it will be a nice event. I got them two adorable bodys from our babyline "Newbie" at work:
